About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with colleagues to deliver an exceptional service to our residents, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

What We Offer

As a Detention Custody Officer with Mitie, you will benefit from:

  • A competitive salary of £30,800 per annum
  • Contractual hours of 42 per week
  • A fixed shift pattern provided in advance
  • Full flexibility required as this is a 24-hour service
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • To be over 21 years old
  • To hold a UK manual driving licence for one year
  • To have a valid UK passport or settled status and indefinite leave to remain
Training and Development

Once you have passed our selection and vetting process, you will begin your Care & Custody career completing a 4-week initial training course (ITC), continuing your development over the next 12 months with on-the-job mentoring and assessments to gain our accredited Level 3 apprenticeship in Detention and Custody.
