We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Catch22 Independent School. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our students with challenging behaviors, ensuring they receive the best possible education and reach their full potential.
Main Responsibilities:- Engage with students in interventions, both in and out of lessons, to foster effective participation in social, behavioral, and academic processes.
- Work with the team to implement behavior management strategies and develop relationships with students who may be vulnerable or have complex needs.
- Liaise with other agencies to ensure student needs are fully met.
- Support the teacher in delivering engaging and successful lessons.
- Level 2 English and Maths qualifications.
- Knowledge of statutory requirements, including equal opportunities, discrimination, health and safety, SEN, and safeguarding of children.
- Experience of teaching children with EAL, SEN, speech and language difficulties, or other complex needs.
- Ability to work independently, supported by the teacher, with groups of or individual students.
- Ability to motivate and encourage children appropriately, with experience of working with challenging students to understand their needs.
- Ability to work at an advanced level with the teacher in planning and delivery of teaching activities.
- Ability to establish and maintain good relationships and rapport with internal colleagues and external contacts.
- A competitive salary of £19, £21,383.50 pro-rata (based on £23,000 - £25,000 per annum) *based on experience.
- Full-time, 37 hours per week.
- Permanent, term-time only (39 weeks per year).
