Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at Catch22 Independent School. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality education to our students, who present challenging behaviours.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students in the classroom, promoting effective participation and engagement in academic and social activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement behaviour management strategies, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Liaise with external agencies to ensure students' needs are met, and provide support to families as needed.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and successful lessons, adapting to the needs of diverse learners.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 English and Maths qualifications.
  • Knowledge of statutory requirements, including equal opportunities, discrimination, health and safety, SEN, and safeguarding of children.
  • Experience working with students with EAL, SEN, speech and language difficulties, or other complex needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High expectations of students' behaviour and clear strategies for managing challenging situations.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £19,672.82 - £21,383.50 pro-rata (based on £23,000 - £25,000 per annum) *based on experience
  • Full-time, 37 hours per week, permanent contract with 39 weeks per year
