About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at HCRG Care Group, a leading provider of community health and care services. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality pharmacy services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of a high-quality pharmacy service, providing medicines management services to support the healthcare needs of our patients.
  • Work effectively as part of a multi-professional team to provide healthcare services, including medication administration to patients.
  • Provide pharmacy-related information to patients, prison officers, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring that advice is tailored to individual needs.
  • Support the implementation and development of pharmacy services across the prison, including advising patients on medication use.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of patient interactions and pharmacy services provided.
  • Recognize signs of drug and alcohol withdrawal and provide support to patients with substance misuse issues.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, prison staff, and external agencies to ensure seamless delivery of services.

Person Specification

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and develop relationships.
  • Confidence and capability to work autonomously and independently.

Essential Experience/Qualifications

  • Qualified with an NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent.
  • Registered Pharmacist Technician with current General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) membership.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-professional team in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience in a prison environment.
  • Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
