The Role

As a Housekeeping Team Member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have a great stay. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning and preparing bedrooms between guest departures and arrivals, ensuring a fresh and inviting space for our visitors.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of all shower and toilet areas to ensure a safe and comfortable stay.
  • Keeping the hostel reception and social areas clean and tidy, creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone.
  • Efficiently and effectively undertaking housekeeping tasks, maintaining consistent cleanliness standards throughout the hostel.
  • Complying with YHA requirements for the use and storage of cleaning products, contributing to our commitment to sustainability.
  • Reporting any faults or damage to a member of the hostel management team, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Sorting and distributing used and unused linen, playing a key role in our guests' comfort.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and has a keen eye for detail. You should be able to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team, and be committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer service. Prior experience in customer-facing roles is an advantage, but not essential. We're happy to provide training and support to the right candidate.
