Position Overview:
An Accounts Assistant is sought for a temporary to permanent role within a reputable organization. This position is essential for maintaining financial accuracy and supporting the finance team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage purchase ledger by entering purchase invoices, credit notes, and expense reports from suppliers and internal departments.
- Ensure accurate matching of invoices to deliveries and perform reconciliation of supplier statements and intercompany balances.
- Prepare weekly payment runs and reconcile with the accounts payable ledger.
- Generate sales invoices based on daily dispatch lists and provide proof of deliveries as needed.
- Issue customer statements and manage credit control procedures through various communication methods.
- Maintain the cash book by recording all income and expenditures, processing customer payments, and performing bank reconciliations.
- Prepare post for collection and coordinate the purchase of office supplies for internal departments.
- Assist with month-end reporting and payroll processing for production staff, ensuring compliance with HM Revenue requirements.
- Calculate and reconcile monthly VAT and prepare quarterly digital submissions.

Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in an Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeper role.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
- Excellent organizational and data entry skills.

Additional Information:
- This is an office-based, full-time position.
- The role offers onsite parking and is easily accessible by public transport.
