Key Responsibilities:

Comprehensive Business Oversight

Enhance and manage the overall performance of the business within the established framework.

Act as the primary representative of the company in various professional settings.

Strategic Direction

Formulate, present, and execute a detailed business strategy aimed at sustainable growth.

Guide the Management Team to meet targets and achieve performance objectives.

Cultural Advancement

Promote a high-performance culture that emphasizes growth and opportunity.

Uphold the core values intrinsic to the family business.

Stakeholder Engagement

Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and consultants.

Marketing Oversight

Supervise crop futures and grain marketing while balancing feed inputs and forward contracts.

Oversee all marketing initiatives and ensure effective strategy implementation.

Governance and Compliance

Ensure that internal governance, compliance, and risk management align with business objectives.

Human Resource Management

Direct recruitment, development, and training processes with the assistance of external consultants.

Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in relation to budgets and strategic plans.

Financial Management

Oversee the financial and contractual obligations of the organization.

Reporting Responsibilities

Provide regular updates to the Board regarding business performance and strategic initiatives.

Present findings to shareholders during the Annual General Meeting.

Administrative Leadership

Manage the Company Secretary to ensure effective administrative support.

Resource Allocation

Candidate Profile - Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a diversified agribusiness.

In-depth knowledge of the agricultural sector in the UK.

Relevant expertise in business management, particularly in P&L, balance sheet oversight, and strategic development.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Agricultural or Business Management or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
