Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Steel Erector/Fitter to work on projects erecting steelwork and architectural steelwork, including staircases, handrails, work platforms, frames, etc. The ideal candidate will have experience in fabrication of sheet metal, steelwork, plate, angle, and box, as well as welding to high specifications using TIG and MIG on carbon, aluminum, and stainless steel.

Responsibilities:
  • Erecting and fitting steelwork, including staircases, handrails, work platforms, and frames
  • Fabricating sheet metal, steelwork, plate, angle, and box
  • Welding to high specifications using TIG and MIG on carbon, aluminum, and stainless steel
  • Assisting with erecting and fitting work
Requirements:
  • C&G or NVQ in Welding Fabrication
  • CSCS Card
  • Ideally, an IPAF Card
  • UK Driving Licence
Working Hours:

07:30 to 16:00, Monday to Friday, plus overtime as required.

Term:

This role is temporary to start, but there is a view that after 13 weeks, a permanent role may be offered. Potential for 6 to 13 weeks of temporary work, possibly leading to a permanent role.

Salary:

Skilled: £19+ per hour basic for 50 hours; £23+ for overtime. 16+ per hour, on Ltd or Pay Company basis, depending on qualifications, skills, and experience.
