Job Duties:
  • Plan and deliver engaging history lessons to students
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments and exams
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and support their learning
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and educational programmes
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance
Required Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in History or related field
  • Strong knowledge of the history curriculum
Education:

Degree in History or related field

Experience:

Prior experience teaching history at secondary level

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate students
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience with exam board requirements
Working Conditions:

The role involves working in a secondary school setting, following the school term calendar. Some additional hours may be required for lesson planning and student assessments.
