About the Role

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking an exceptional leader to join our team as the Head of Children and Families Services. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our children and families services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategies to improve the lives of children and families in our community.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality services that meet the needs of our citizens.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including community partners, healthcare providers, and social services.
  • Ensure that our services are trauma-informed, kind, and compassionate, and that we are meeting the needs of our most vulnerable populations.
  • Work closely with our Council and Health Board partners to ensure seamless integration of health, social work, and social care services.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in leading integrated services and developing strong partnerships with community organizations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
  • Strong understanding of the complexities of children's services and the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to work in a complex organizational environment and navigate multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • SSSC registration and a social work qualification are essential.
