Position Overview:

We are currently in search of a qualified and passionate Optometrist to join our esteemed optical practice. As a prominent player in the optical retail sector, we pride ourselves on creating a supportive and engaging work atmosphere that encourages professional advancement.

Practice Details:

Our practice is equipped with three testing rooms, with plans to expand to five in a new location, ensuring optimal patient flow and a comfortable workspace. We cater to a diverse clientele, serving individuals from various age groups and backgrounds.

Located in a vibrant area, our practice benefits from high foot traffic and easy accessibility for our patients. Ample free parking is available within a short walking distance.

Our team comprises 20 professionals committed to providing top-notch eye care services. We operate from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM on weekdays, with extended hours on Wednesdays, and shorter hours on weekends.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough eye examinations, including vision assessments and ocular health evaluations.
  • Diagnose visual impairments and ocular conditions, providing appropriate treatment or referrals.
  • Prescribe and dispense corrective lenses and other optical aids as necessary.
  • Educate patients on effective eye care practices, including contact lens maintenance.
  • Maintain precise and comprehensive patient records using our electronic documentation system.
  • Collaborate with the broader team to ensure a seamless patient experience and uphold excellent customer service standards.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in Optometry through ongoing professional development.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Registered Optometrist with the General Optical Council (GOC).
  • Exceptional clinical and diagnostic capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.
  • Flexibility regarding weekend shifts, with options for Saturday or Sunday work.
  • Preferred experience with trial frames; familiarity with advanced equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to efficiently conduct tests within a 25-minute timeframe, averaging 15 to 16 tests daily.
