Job Title: F&B Team Member (Casual)

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic F&B Team Member to join our team at MERCURE. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Order Taking and Sales: Take orders from guests and maximize sales opportunities through knowledge of our menu and suggestive selling techniques.
  • Order Processing: Send orders to the kitchen staff through our POS system and ensure accuracy by repeating orders to guests.
  • Food Delivery: Deliver orders promptly to the kitchen production area and maintain the quality and appearance of food.
  • Table Maintenance: Keep tables and service areas clean and tidy as per our procedure manual.
  • Hygiene and Safety: Maintain hygienic food service techniques during service and take responsibility for your designated section and station.
  • Room Service: Answer telephone calls and maximize sales opportunities through knowledge of our menu and suggestive selling techniques when working in Room Service.
Health and Safety:
  • Safe Work Practices: Actively participate in safe work practices and procedures in the workplace and use equipment safely.
  • Emergency Procedures: Fully understand departmental fire, evacuation, and emergency procedures.
  • Accident Reporting: Report and record all accidents/incidents on the appropriate workplace register and support injured employee rehabilitation.
  • Health and Safety Hazards: Report any health or safety hazards to your Supervisor.
Customer Service:
  • Guest Experience: Provide efficient, friendly, and professional service to all guests, making every experience positive.
  • Problem Solving: Take a positive problem-solving approach with guest problems and concerns, and call the Manager on Duty if difficulties arise.

Qualifications:

  • Language: Fluent English
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
