Job Title: Senior Lawyer

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lawyer to join our team at Venn Group. As a Senior Lawyer, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and support to our clients in the field of Adult Social Care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide detailed and accurate legal advice on the Council's responsibilities under various legislation, including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Health and Social Care Act 2008, and Mental Health Act 1983.
  • Offer legal advice and support across a broad range of areas, including ordinary residence, Data Protection, Freedom of Information, safeguarding, provider failure, section 117 aftercare, and 16–17-year-old Deprivation of liberty cases.
  • Work closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality legal services to our clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and case law, and apply this knowledge to provide expert advice to our clients.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in providing legal advice on Adult Social Care.
  • Motivation to protect and defend vulnerable members of the community.
  • Experience in a Local Authority setting is desirable but not essential.
