About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Site Engineering Manager to lead our fully automated distribution centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing one of our most technologically advanced distribution centres, leading an onsite team of Multi-skilled engineering technicians and support staff, and ensuring the highest engineering standards and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the distribution centre's engineering operations, ensuring efficient and effective maintenance planning and monitoring workloads.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of engineers, providing training and development opportunities to ensure they have the right skills and expertise.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and remove bottlenecks and improve efficiencies, ensuring the team has the right capacity, capability, and coverage to support effective site maintenance.
  • Ensure a safe environment for those who work and visit our distribution centre and offices, maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including vendors and contractors, to ensure we cover all engineering and maintenance requirements.
  • Contribute to setting strategy and direction long-term as part of our wider automation engineering management team.
Requirements
  • AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robotics) and Automation experience at an operational management level.
  • Strong stakeholder management and budget control experience.
  • Engineering degree or equivalent and extensive experience in leading large multi-skilled highly qualified engineering teams across a multi-disciplined distribution centre.
