Job Description

Insurance Underwriter Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Life and Disability Insurance Underwriter to join the Wise Employment Group team. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for evaluating and assessing insurance applications to determine coverage and premiums.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess insurance applications to determine coverage and premiums.
  • Work closely with Brokers, Agents, and Clients to analyse risk factors and make informed decisions to protect the company's interests.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of insurance principles and underwriting guidelines.
  • Assess complex commercial or specialty risks and make informed decisions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years experience working as an Underwriter in the insurance industry.
  • Sound knowledge of insurance principles and underwriting guidelines.
  • Experience in underwriting complex commercial or specialty risks.
