Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Distribution Operative to join our team at Kepak Group. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day receipt, storage, and distribution of meat products within our centralised distribution centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Receipt and Storage: Ensure the safe and effective handling of products in accordance with their characteristics, and verify products against relevant documentation.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of stock levels, and ensure the storeroom operates efficiently and effectively.
  • Preparation for Despatch: Prepare products for despatch, and complete relevant documentation accurately and legibly.
  • Operational Efficiency: Effectively operate company's computerised system, and load products for despatch.
  • Health and Safety: Comply with Company's health and safety rules, including hygiene requirements, and report any accidents or near misses.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a similar warehouse or material management environment is beneficial.
  • Manual Handling: Ability to manually handle products, and awareness of manual handling procedures.
  • Licenses: Forklift, Electric Pallet Truck (EPT), and/or Reach Truck licenses are beneficial.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate in English in written and oral form with multi-nationals on all levels.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to meet daily/weekly distribution targets, and adapt to changing operational demands.
Benefits
  • Competitive Pay: Competency-based rate of pay starting from £11.44/h and up to £13.52/h depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Standard Working Week: Monday to Friday, 40hrs/week, 8:30am-5:30pm (with 2 x 30mins break).
  • Overtime: Overtime rate of time and a half applies when you work over 44 hours/week.
