About the Role
The Project Manager for Supply Chain is a key position within General Mills, responsible for securing and accelerating the 3OP cost saving pipeline. This role involves managing complex key strategic Cost Saving projects, developing project capabilities, best practices, and processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate mastery of project management and knowledge of cross-functional processes to ensure full end-to-end leadership and integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead key strategic HMM (Holistic Margin Management) technical or technically-enabled projects from Charter stage, ensuring executional excellence using the appropriate methodology and tools.
- Work with functional managers to develop project timings, resource requirements, and project success criteria, driving efforts to accelerate implementation and increase project savings.
- Track and communicate project progress to key stakeholders, including Senior Leadership team, identifying, assessing, and mitigating project-level risks, and ensuring effective communication via clear governance process.
- Lead cross-functional root cause analysis to understand business implications, escalating roadblocks and bringing proposals for mitigation to the appropriate decision-makers.
- Utilize skills and experience to review the Cost Saving (HMM) Project Management framework, implementing improvements to ways of working and tools that will have an impact on the achievement of regional results.
- Collaborate with Marketing leads to provide guidance on adopting changes to support project management across all Launch to Win projects, including Inno/Reno, Business Continuity, and CSR.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Project Management, ideally within Supply Chain.
- Proven experience in Project Management methodology.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to drive effective discussions with project resources from tactical execution level up to Senior Leadership level.
- Stakeholder management and ability to influence positively in decision making.
- Strong organizational and people development skills.
- Able to lead and direct across functional teams.
- Able to work across organizational/functional boundaries.
- Self-managing, results-oriented, and capable of leading multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or Supply Chain Management.
- Project Management qualification.
