We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our Group Finance team in Leeds. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing financial support to our Group IT Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide analysis, coordination, and reporting of the day-to-day Group IT cost base, ensuring reliable and consistent data to support month-end processes and decision-making.
  • Develop strong working relationships with Group IT and close liaison with the wider Group Finance team, acting as a conduit between Finance and Group IT.
  • Prepare Group IT monthly and YTD accounts, supporting the IT leadership commentary on variances.
  • Main contact for Country Operating Units for Group IT-related queries and clarifications.
  • Support and coordinate Group IT forecasts, feeding into the overall Group Budget process.
  • Responsibility for IT Capex tracking data, including progress against forecast and impact on YTG spend.
  • Financial support for Investment Appraisal papers and ROI assessment of completed projects.
  • Close liaison with Group Finance around IT Capitalisation to ensure capitalisation of intangible and tangible assets is correctly reflected in the underlying accounting records.
  • Support implementation of appropriate processes to facilitate the new control environment.
  • Support the Group Reporting team during the preparation of the Quarterly releases, the Statutory Accounts, the audit, and any ad-hoc interim reviews.
Requirements
  • A Qualified Accountant with proven strong core technical accounting skills; experience with M&A, Due Diligence, and Transactional Services would be highly desirable.
  • Resilient and passionate about their role and how they can contribute to the development of the business.
  • Excellent Excel and communication skills.
