About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Graduate Software Engineer to join our team at the NHS Business Services Authority. As a Graduate Software Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of our software solutions, working closely with our experienced team of software engineers and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Software Development: You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders.
  2. Agile Methodology: You will work closely with our agile development team to deliver software solutions that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders.
  3. Code Quality: You will be responsible for ensuring that your code is of high quality, meets our coding standards, and is well-documented.
  4. Collaboration: You will work closely with our team of software engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders to deliver software solutions that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders.
  5. Problem-Solving: You will be responsible for identifying and resolving technical issues that arise during the development and deployment of software solutions.
  6. Communication: You will be responsible for communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including business stakeholders and end-users.
  7. Continuous Learning: You will be responsible for staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in software development, and for applying this knowledge to improve our software solutions.
Working Relationships

You will be responsible for working closely with our team of software engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders to deliver software solutions that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders.

You will also be responsible for working with our business stakeholders to understand their needs and to deliver software solutions that meet those needs.

Requirements
  1. Education: You must have a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  2. Experience: You must have experience in software development, preferably in an agile development environment.
  3. Skills: You must have strong programming skills, preferably in Java or C#.
  4. Communication: You must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
