Position Overview

We are currently in search of a skilled Chemical Engineer to enhance our Power Plant division, working on a permanent 8/6 roster with FIFO arrangements.

Reporting directly to the Superintendent - Mechanical (Gas Turbine), this position is crucial for providing engineering insights, expertise, and guidelines for the commissioning, operation, and maintenance of our facilities, adhering to Australian Standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze equipment operation parameters and monitor inspection data.
  • Offer technical guidance and support to the Operations and Maintenance Team regarding the use, calibration, and upkeep of chemical instruments.
  • Participate in acceptance inspections and testing procedures.
  • Organize equipment maintenance and overhaul schedules.
  • Develop strategies for process optimization and performance enhancement within the scope of the role.

Qualifications

  • A valid Driver's License is mandatory.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
  • Proficiency in chemical analysis, calibration of chemical instruments, and operation of laboratory equipment.
  • Relevant expertise in equipment and instrumentation within the chemical discipline of power plants.
