Job Title: General Practitioner, Military Medical Examiner

Pertemps Medical Professionals is seeking a highly skilled General Practitioner to join our team as a Military Medical Examiner. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting medical assessments on behalf of the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for new recruits to the Royal Navy and Marines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough medical assessments to determine the fitness of candidates for military service
  • Review medical history and conduct face-to-face examinations to identify any conditions that may impact a candidate's ability to safely perform their role
  • Collaborate with senior Naval clinicians to determine the final outcome of medical assessments
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines and best practices
  • Contribute to a supportive and collaborative team environment that fosters high-quality clinical care and patient safety
Requirements:
  • Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK) / Post CCT
  • Full Registration with the GMC and record of Continuous Professional Development
  • Full participation in the appraisal and revalidation as required by the GMC
  • Good organisational and communication skills
