Job Title: Estimator/Bid Manager

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Location: Bournemouth

Sector: Structural Steel

We are seeking an experienced construction estimator with a background in glazing projects to join our team as an Estimator/Bid Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for building new relationships with main contractor clients, preparing detailed and high-quality quotations, and negotiating terms with clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain relationships with main contractor clients to ensure inclusion on upcoming tender lists.
  2. Prepare and submit detailed and high-quality quotations to clients.
  3. Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
  4. Identify new leads and opportunities using market data and prospecting tools.
  5. Read and interpret design drawings to produce accurate take-offs to a high standard.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in estimating structural steel projects.
  2. Good understanding of the contractual process and ability to negotiate terms.
  3. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
  4. Excellent communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and external clients.
  5. Confident user of Logikal - advantageous.
