About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Food Technologist to join our team at Jackson Hogg Ltd. As a key member of our R&D function, you will be responsible for driving innovation and delivering projects that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement new food products and processes that meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and develop strategies for growth.
  • Conduct sensory analysis and testing to ensure that our products meet the required standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and customers to ensure that our products meet their needs and expectations.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
Requirements
  • Education to Degree/HND level in Food Science/Food Technology or related subject.
  • Strong understanding of food safety processes and procedures, including HACCP.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work and influence across key functions within the business.
  • Proficient IT skills in all applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience of working and supporting an R&D function within the baking sector.
  • Experience of operating at a level within an organization where strategic development and planning have been required and demonstrated.
  • Demonstrable record of achievement on delivering projects within an R&D function.
  • Knowledge of project management and ability to lead and support challenging situations.
Personal Qualities
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire coworkers.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage and influence with key functions of the business.
  • Self-motivated, tenacious, and able to drive performance of self and encourage team members.
  • Capable and comfortable in leading/supporting challenging situations with the ability to present a reasoned argument/case.
