Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and suitably qualified Cost Estimator to lead our estimating team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing cost estimates for projects at various phases, including FEED and detailed design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of cost estimates for projects, including FEED and detailed design.
- Prepare and check estimate reports and presentations for clients.
- Lead the cost interface with clients.
- Liaise with contractors and vendors for input into estimates.
- Coordinate estimating activities with other disciplines.
- Attend internal and external project review meetings.
- Input to project plans and schedules.
- Identify scope of work required to undertake a project.
- Estimate deliverables and hours required to deliver a project.
- Provide owners engineering services.
Key Competencies, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant cost estimating experience.
- Engineering degree or relevant industry experience.
- Understanding of engineering deliverables feeding into a Material Take-Off / Bill of Quantities.
- Demonstrated capability in one or more of the following industries: Refining, Petrochemical, Fuel Storage Terminals, Sustainable Fuels, Hydrogen.
- Competent in the use of MS Office applications.
- Exposure to mentoring of junior team members and apprentices.
- Commercial and contracts experience.
