Overview:
We are seeking a driven and commercially aware individual to embark on a rewarding career path within a prominent independent multidisciplinary firm that operates across the UK, offering design consultancy and on-site testing services to leading contractors.
Position:
The successful candidate will assume the role of Graduate Acoustic Consultant at our Southampton branch. This position presents an opportunity to work with a prestigious portfolio of clients in both public and private sectors, engaging in a variety of acoustic-related tasks across numerous high-profile projects.
Training and Development:
Comprehensive training will be provided to the right candidate, with the aim of progressing towards the role of Senior Acoustic Consultant and achieving MIOA status.
Qualifications:
- MSc/BSc in Acoustics/Noise and Vibration
- Valid driving license
Experience:
- Formal training in acoustics or experience in Building Acoustics is preferred.
- Knowledge of the construction industry is advantageous.
- Proficient in technical skills and IT.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Excellent communication and client engagement skills.
- Familiarity with Noise Modeling software and noise monitoring equipment is ideal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance on relevant legislation.
- Collaborate with consultants, engineers, and architects.
- Prepare high-quality reports.
- Design facades to mitigate external noise intrusion.
- Conduct sound insulation testing and recommend remedial measures.
- Assess the internal acoustic performance of buildings.
- Perform noise assessment site visits across the UK.
- Contribute to business growth through networking and presentations.
