Overview:

TALENT DRIVE LTD is excited to collaborate with a prominent food brand in the recruitment of a Senior Category Manager to oversee the Hot Beverages sector. Reporting directly to the Head of Retail, this role is responsible for managing a substantial budget of approximately £60 million. You will be tasked with the daily management of supplier relationships, ensuring optimal collaboration, while also formulating and advancing the category strategy for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the category strategy for Hot Beverages, focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Oversee supplier relationships to maximize commercial value through strategic sourcing.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the Category Buyer.
  • Analyze competitor activities and utilize market-driven data to establish a competitive edge.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of the end-to-end supply chain within a retail or FMCG environment, with specific experience in hot beverages, including tea and coffee. A strong background in procurement with a focus on strategic sourcing or category management is essential, along with experience managing budgets exceeding £20 million.

We seek a decisive individual with strong commercial insight, capable of thriving in high-pressure situations.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of £55,000-£65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
