Job Opportunity: Engineering Tutor

Total People is seeking a skilled Engineering Tutor to join our team. As an Engineering Tutor, you will play a vital role in coaching, mentoring, and assessing students to help them develop their knowledge, skills, and behaviours.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching sessions in both classroom and workshop environments. You will work closely with other Learning Coaches to ensure that the skills and knowledge learned in the classroom are embedded in the workplace.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering teaching sessions in both classroom and workshop environments
  • Managing and maintaining a caseload of learners
  • Ensuring evidence for learning, achievement, funding, and Ofsted is captured effectively and timely
  • Engaging learners and identifying any barriers to their progress
  • Delivering Maths and English to support learners' achievement and progress
  • Working closely with IQAs on best practice and development needs
  • Maintaining a positive working relationship with employers

Qualifications and Experience:

We are looking for a candidate with relevant occupational sector experience and relevant qualifications (at a level 3 or higher than delivery). Functional Skills Level 2 in English, Maths, and ICT or equivalent is also required. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality coaching and teaching.
