Accounts Payable Team Lead

EQUANS SERVICES LIMITED is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Team Lead to join our team in Quorum Business Park, Newcastle. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, offering a competitive salary and benefits package.


The successful candidate will lead a team in delivering an effective and efficient procure to pay service, including all aspects of invoice processing and recording of financial transactions, accounts payable activities in a high-volume transaction services environment and in line with agreed SLAs.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, manage and support the Accounts Payable team to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts payable process.
  • Stay up-to-date with all relevant legislation in relation to the Accounts Payable service.
  • Investigate and resolve issues/quality errors in relation to invoice processing on a daily basis.
  • Manage risk in line with INCOME controls and other identified risks.
  • Comply with finance processes, controls and regulatory framework at all times, highlighting potential business risks to management.
  • Identify training and development needs for the team.
  • Encourage cross-training and development.

Requirements:
  • Expert knowledge in accounts payable activities and financial regulations.
  • Ability to operate in a multi-skilled team and demonstrate versatility.
  • Excellent planning and administration skills.
  • Strong experience with MS Office including Word & Excel as well as SAP would be beneficial but not essential.

This role includes a Basic DBS check, therefore the ability to pass is essential.
