We are seeking a dedicated and creative Inpatient Activity Coordinator to join our team at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust. As an Inpatient Activity Coordinator, you will play a vital role in delivering and facilitating activities that promote mental, emotional, and physical health for our inpatients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a wide healthcare team to create individualized activity timetables that cater to the diverse needs of our patients.
  • Design and deliver engaging activities, including bingo, art projects, and games, to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team, including medical, nursing, therapy, and psychology staff, to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and carers to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and supportive ward environment that promotes patient recovery and well-being.

Requirements:

  • A real desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others through meaningful interactions and tailored programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, staff, and families.
  • Ability to demonstrate the trust's values and work in a way that promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • A driving license is essential for this role, as you will be required to use the trust's specialist unit vehicle.
