We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Simulation and Education Academy team as a Simulation and Clinical Skills Specialist Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of educators and clinicians to design, develop, and deliver high-quality clinical education programs.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and deliver clinical education programs that encompass essential clinical skills, high-fidelity simulation, haptic skills training, human factors, communication skills, and patient safety training.
- Support the trust's long-term strategy to embed a culture of patient safety and human factors awareness through all educational programs.
- Promote and support an active and responsive approach to training and development across the trust through clinical, human factors, and communication skills, and simulation-based learning initiatives.
- Work closely with the wider Simulation and Essential Clinical Skills team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
The Simulation and Education Academy team is a dynamic and innovative group of professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality education and training to healthcare professionals. We are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment that fosters collaboration, creativity, and excellence.
Requirements- Current and extensive knowledge of acute hospital practice.
- Ability to discuss knowledgeably current and proposed developments in education and healthcare.
- Demonstrates a vision for the future using the simulator for inter-professional training.
- Ability to discuss managing simulation team.
- Effectively manage a budget.
- Previous experience in delivering education on a large scale.
- Evidence of post-basic continuing professional development.
- Computer literacy: Windows 7, Excel, experience of using simulation software and AV technology.
- Registered Nurse/ODP.
- Post-basic qualification.
- Master's degree or willingness to work towards.
