Job Summary:

KennedyPearce Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Billing Manager to lead the Billing function and support the Transactional Finance Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Billing function and excellent leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 4 direct reports responsible for producing circa 1500 invoices per month
  • Raise intercompany invoices for payment and ensure timely processing
  • Onboard new clients via established internal processes and ensure seamless integration
  • Own the RPI price increase process from start to finish
  • Manage the development revenue recognition process and ensure accurate revenue recognition
  • Cross charge stock costs and release revenue in line with usage
  • Process month-end revenue accruals, manage deferred revenue, and correct revenue coding errors
  • Minimize revenue accruals by driving in-month billing with operations
  • Support queries from the wider finance team during month-end
  • Liaise with credit control to optimize cash flow management through prompt customer payments
  • Prepare key Balance Sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy
  • Provide support and holiday cover to the Billing team
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Drive billing automation and standardize approaches
  • Lead process improvement projects and new system implementations
  • Identify ways to motivate, train, and develop team members
  • Address Excel queries and perform ad-hoc duties as required

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience managing billing/AR teams
  • Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships
  • Strong understanding of the Billing function and its complexities
  • Strong communication skills for clear presentation to subordinates and senior management
  • Technical proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically Outlook and Excel (VLOOKUPs and pivots required)
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and meet tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and high accuracy levels
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of VAT regulations
  • Experience with SAP
  • Prior experience as a Billing Clerk is highly desirable
