Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Guidant Global Careers. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in the design, development, and testing of satellite systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Preparation Phase
    • Support the project team in the customization phase, ensuring that all design requirements are met.
    • Participate in DMU sessions to ensure design for manufacture and assembly.
    • Develop and maintain documentation, including ACS inputs, work instructions, and procedures.
    • Lead the installation of satellite appendages and integration flows.
    • Support the definition of MGSE for use on the satellite and participate in procurement activities.
    • Collaborate with the Process Owner team to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Project Operational Phase
    • Support the AIT Lead Engineering team during periods of high workload.
    • Assist process owners with observation resolution and operational activities.
    • Oversee unit installation activities on the satellite.
    • Conduct quality reviews, PFMEA, and Root Cause Analysis to ensure quality standards are met.
    • Develop re-work instructions based on project requirements and identify parts and tooling requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in satellite systems and aerospace industry. You should be able to work effectively in a team environment and have excellent communication skills.
