About the Role

The Electrical Services Manager will be responsible for the operational leadership and management of maintenance technical teams to maximise effectiveness, utilisation and functionality of staff resources, equipment and materials.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as the lead Authorised Person (AP) for Low and High voltage systems and LOLER.
  • Ensure that all appropriate legislation and national NHS guidance (HTM's and HBN's) is followed in these disciplines to maintain compliance.
  • Coordinate the activity of other AP's and ensure that all junior members of the team are suitably trained and appointed annually as competent/skilled persons.
  • Produce monthly productivity and exception reports for their area of control, ensuring the department continually strives to improve.
  • Oversee the installation of new equipment and ensure it meets the standards contained within national guidance documents and is environmentally sustainable.
  • Deputise for the Head of Estates in their absence and will be an active member of the Estates Management On-Call rota, providing management and technical support where required to junior members of the team.
