We are seeking an experienced Care Manager to join our team at Oxford Aunts Care Ltd. As a key member of our domiciliary care team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of hourly care to our clients, working closely with our operations team to manage placements and staffing needs.
Key Responsibilities- Manage placements and ensure client retention and stability
- Conduct robust risk assessments and identify client needs
- Create and implement plans of care to meet client needs and bring about positive change
- Work collaboratively with clients, client families, key stakeholders, and healthcare professionals
- Supervise and appraise staff, ensuring high-quality care delivery
- Ensure compliance with internal and external policies, procedures, and standards
- Experience in the health and social care sector, with an understanding of carer roles and support needs
- Ability to prioritise effectively, plan, and organise
- Strong risk assessment skills, with knowledge and skills to deliver safety for clients and carers
- Excellent written communication and care planning skills
- Experience of staff supervision and appraisal processes
- Ability to problem solve and risk assess
- Articulate with excellent customer service skills
- Experience with dealing with difficult and challenging situations with a positive outcome
- Ability to stay calm and work at a fast pace, both independently and within a team
- Driver with a car based within a 70-mile radius of Oxford
- IT literate, with ability to use word, excel, laptop, and tablet functions
- Ability to multitask, be highly organised, and work to conflicting and challenging deadlines
- Experience in a medical profession, including nursing, occupational therapy, and/or physiotherapy
- Hold a degree qualification or care sector-related qualification to a minimum of Level 3, or be prepared to work towards Health & Social Care Level 3 or higher
