Job Summary: We are seeking a knowledgeable, resourceful, and energetic Senior Support Professional to join our team in supporting people with learning disabilities and other needs in their own tenancies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising, Managing, and Mentoring a Team of Staff: Provide guidance, support, and development opportunities to staff members to ensure they are equipped to deliver high-quality support to service users.
  • Ensuring Policies and Procedures are Adhered to: Ensure that all staff members are aware of and comply with company policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection.
  • Developing and Sustaining Warm and Trusting Relationships with Service Users: Build and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and external agencies to ensure that their needs are met and they receive the highest standard of support.
  • Providing Outcome-Focused Support: Work with service users to identify their goals and aspirations, and develop personalized support plans to help them achieve their desired outcomes.
  • Staff Development and Supervision: Provide regular supervision and support to staff members to ensure they are equipped to deliver high-quality support to service users.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and Experience: Proven experience of working with people with learning disabilities and other needs, and a good understanding of the principles of person-centered support.
  • Skills and Qualifications: QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent, and a willingness to work towards further qualifications.
  • Personal Qualities: A warm, caring, and empowering approach to supporting people, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
