Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Employment Law Specialist to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our legal department, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to clients in the area of employment law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing Tribunal Claims: You will be responsible for reviewing tribunal claims and drafting appropriate responses to ensure that our clients' interests are protected.
  • Assisting Clients with Early Conciliation/Mediation Matters: You will assist clients with early conciliation and mediation matters, providing guidance and support to help them navigate the process.
  • Document Disclosure: You will be responsible for dealing with all aspects of document disclosure, ensuring that our clients receive the necessary documentation to support their claims.
  • Tribunal Bundles: You will create tribunal bundles, collating and organizing relevant documents to ensure that our clients are well-prepared for tribunal hearings.
  • Preparing Files for Tribunal: You will assist clients in preparing files for tribunal, gathering witness statements, relevant documentation, and other necessary materials.
  • Correspondence: You will correspond with tribunals, claimants' representatives, and clients, ensuring that all communication is clear and concise.
  • Commercially Favourable Settlements: You will work to achieve commercially favourable settlements for our clients, providing expert advice and guidance to help them reach a mutually beneficial agreement.
  • Preliminary Hearings and Case Management Hearings: You will conduct preliminary hearings and case management hearings, where appropriate, to ensure that our clients' interests are protected.
  • Insurance and Invoicing: You will notify insurance of relevant claims and update, where appropriate, and invoice clients for services rendered.
  • Reports and Training: You will collate and oversee reports each week, ensuring that our clients receive timely and accurate information. You will also assist with and attend training sessions, where required, to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in employment law.
  • Legal Research: You will conduct legal research to ensure that our clients receive the best possible advice and support.
