About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner. As a key member of our Mental Health Support Team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate anxiety, low mood, and behavioral difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver evidence-based interventions for children and young people.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, young people, and their families to ensure effective support and care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each child or young person.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure seamless care and support for children and young people.
Person Specification

We are looking for an individual who possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and their families. You will have a strong understanding of the educational system in England and be able to learn in a variety of settings and using different learning methods.

Essential qualifications include a minimum of GCSE grade 4 (or grade C) in maths and English, or equivalent. You will also need to meet the criteria laid out by the University of Derby to access the training course.
