Job Title: Weights Engineer

Atlas Recruitment Group Ltd is seeking a skilled Weights Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team within a global defence leader. As a Weights Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and managing work plans, contributing to effective decision-making, and driving the development and deployment of discipline capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive weight management strategies, including early lifecycle weight assessment and centre of gravity analysis.
  2. Collaborate with designers, aerodynamicists, materials specialists, manufacturing engineers, and structures engineers to ensure effective weight management.
  3. Manage and maintain accurate records of weight targets and centre of gravity data.
  4. Contribute to the development of innovative solutions to complex weight management challenges.
  5. Provide expert guidance and support to team members on weight management best practices.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in Weights Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Airframe related disciplines.
  2. Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft structure and systems weight management processes and methods.
  3. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  4. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  5. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
