About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Sourcing Assistant to join our Commercial team at The Works. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in implementing new ways of working both internally across the trading teams and externally within our supplier base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate key supplier relationships, supplier assessment, supplier strategy, and supplier engagement.
  • Work closely with design, buying, merchandising, supply chain, and quality teams to drive business and commercial strategy forward.
  • Manage end-to-end supplier relationships, including onboarding and exit processes.
  • Develop and implement a supplier scorecard process to assess supplier performance objectively.
  • Support the management of supplier terms and conditions, including payment terms, defect rates, and rebates.
  • Assist in the development of supplier communication tools and engagement plans.
  • Deputize for the Sourcing Manager as and when required.

  • Passionate and motivated individual with a positive attitude.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work with data and make informed decisions.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize workload, set expectations, and work to deadlines.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong numerical skills and ability to analyze data.
  • Computer literacy, including working knowledge of Microsoft systems.
