Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a one-to-one basis with a child in a Key Stage 2 class at an outstanding secondary school in the London borough of Hackney.

The school has a diverse student body and is looking for a reliable and experienced support staff member to work with a child who has mild autism and communication issues. The role will involve supporting the child around the school grounds and providing individualized support to help them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one support to a child with mild autism and communication issues
  • Work with the child to develop their communication skills and build their confidence
  • Support the child in their academic and personal development
  • Collaborate with the teaching staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Provide feedback to the teaching staff on the child's progress and development
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs
  • Passion for working with children and supporting their development
  • Patience, caring, and engaging approach
  • Enthusiasm for education and a commitment to supporting children's learning
  • Confidence with Maths, Science, and English to GCSE level
  • Enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce only)
