About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled NDT Technician to join our team at GKN Aerospace. As an NDT Technician, you will be responsible for performing non-destructive testing to verify the structural integrity of Titanium and Aluminum Rotating Hardware.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform NDT tests on various Rotating Hardware
  • Undertake training in NDT methods to achieve Level 2 in Eddy Current, Fluorescent Penetrant, Radiographic, and Ultrasonic Testing to Specification NAS-410
  • Implement procedures, instructions, and techniques as required
  • Perform control checks on test method capability
  • Document and advise local team members of test outcomes
  • Review and implement customer requirements, such as engineering drawings, process specifications, and industry standards
  • Develop and maintain processes, test methodology, and procedures
  • Operate ultrasonic equipment, such as a-scan and resonance scopes, phased array equipment, and automated scanning systems
  • Operate x-ray equipment, such as robotic scanners and computed radiography data acquisition systems
  • Interface with engineers, internal and external customers, manufacturing personnel, and management to improve processes
  • Provide guidance, leadership, and instruction to other NDT technicians

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience utilizing Non-Destructive Testing in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder due to program security clearance requirements and/or SSA requirements
