Peripatetic Deputy Manager & Clinical Lead

About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical) to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. As a key member of our leadership team, you'll play a vital role in managing and developing our care homes across the region, ensuring we deliver exceptional care and service to our residents.

Working closely with our General Manager or hiring manager, you'll help implement action plans to meet the needs of our residents, taking on leadership duties in the absence of the General Manager. This will involve helping with everything from care standards to motivating your team.

You'll inspire a multidisciplinary team to provide the best possible quality of life for our residents, leading by example and monitoring standards through regular audits, supervised clinical practice, and checking our regulatory compliance.

You'll set the highest standards and draw on your skills to develop and deliver strategies that will help you achieve your goals.


About You

To join us as a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical), you'll need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching, mentoring, or supervision qualification.

Previous experience of working within a nursing home setting is essential, and evidence of continual professional development is also required.

Experience in helping residents with different health needs is important, as is a successful track record of managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments.

We'll also look for some HR experience, a strong knowledge of sales and marketing, an understanding of budget management, and a track record of supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship.

You'll be compassionate, resilient, and determined to deliver quality care in our engaging and energetic environment. Finally, due to the nature of this role, you must be flexible and willing to travel.
