Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Personal Assistant for a fun-loving child with Autism. The successful candidate will provide support and companionship to the child, enabling their mother to spend quality time with their sibling.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to the child
  • Ensure the child's safety at all times
  • Keep the child company while their mother is out

Essential Criteria

  • Full understanding of Autism and its effects
  • Patience and a caring nature
  • Ability to think on your feet and respond to the child's needs
  • Full driving license and access to a personal vehicle
  • Loving and nurturing personality

Desirable Criteria

  • Understanding of Echolalia and its application in communication

Personal Qualities and Attributes

  • Responsible and reliable individual
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Previous experience as a Personal Assistant (not essential)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the child's privacy

Working Hours

The successful candidate will work a maximum of 6 hours per month on weekends, with the option to split this time over every other weekend. During school holidays, the candidate will work 8 hours per week. Hours will be agreed upon at the interview stage.

Pay and Benefits

The hourly rate for this position is £11.44. The successful candidate will also receive training and support to ensure they are equipped to provide the best possible care for the child.
