We are seeking a skilled Data Cabling Engineer to join our installation team, working on customer projects that require the installation of network cabinets, primary and secondary containment systems, and Cat6 or Cat6A horizontal cabling solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Install network cabinets and primary and secondary containment systems
- Install Cat6 or Cat6A horizontal cabling solutions
- Terminate, test, and label Cat6/Cat6A solutions
- Install network switches
- Copper patching
- Fibre patching
- Experience in terminating copper cabling (Category 5e, Category 6, etc.)
- Experience in testing fibre optic and copper cables using Fluke Testers
- Good working knowledge of current installation practices
- Experience in installing containment systems (both Steel and PVC)
- Knowledge of OTDR testing is an advantage
- Focused and able to work within a team and independently
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to undergo Security Clearance
