About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Team Member to join our team at the Holiday Inn Cardiff City Centre. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our hotel rooms and public areas are clean, comfortable, and inviting for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Service hotel bedrooms and public areas to company standards and within allocated time frames.
- Be familiar with agreed cleaning standards and presentation of all room categories.
- Report any damages or breakages promptly to ensure repairs are carried out.
- Return all equipment to their allotted storerooms at the end of each working day and keep the storerooms and working areas clean and tidy.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role and understanding of the importance of attention to detail in housekeeping.
- Passion for providing exceptional customer service and taking pride in delivering clean and well-maintained guest rooms and public areas.
- Team player who is reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively with others.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively to ensure all areas are cleaned to a high standard within the allocated time frame.
- Physical fitness and ability to carry out the physical demands of the job, including lifting and moving heavy objects, standing for extended periods of time, and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with other departments to ensure the smooth running of the hotel.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and good understanding of the proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
