We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced nurse to join our team as a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse in the Interventional Radiology Department at the Royal Sussex County Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and extending their knowledge and skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Main Duties

  • Assess inpatients and outpatients, plan, implement, and manage care.
  • Carry out specialist nursing procedures with Radiology specialists.
  • Monitor patients throughout procedures and during aftercare.
  • Provide specialist advice to patients and carers.
  • Undertake research and lead clinical audits in specialist areas.
  • May be required to supervise a team of nursing and support staff.

Person Specification

  • Registered Nurse - NMC
  • Mentorship, teaching, or assessing courses
  • Able to administer medication and hold a valid IV medication and cannulation certificate
  • Experience as a 'scrub' nurse
