Claims Team Leader Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Claims Team Leader to oversee the management of various Motor Claims Teams within a dynamic environment in Northampton.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Supervising and guiding Claims Handlers to ensure adherence to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Approving claims settlements within allocated financial boundaries.
  • Ensuring team proficiency in policy wordings, internal guides, and processes.
  • Collaborating with clients to meet specific needs, attending review meetings as needed.
  • Maintaining accurate reserves and controlled costs.
  • Working closely with other departments for litigated cases to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for any escalations and resolving complaints promptly.
  • Ensuring timely completion of annual appraisals, monthly 1-2-1 sessions, and agreed development plans.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Claims Team Leader in a regulated environment, preferably in Motor Claims, but we can consider those from various claims backgrounds.
  • Commitment to exceptional client service, with a clear understanding of best practices.
  • Proven technical expertise and overall general insurance knowledge.
  • Ability to create a positive work environment and inspire colleagues and team members.
