Position Summary

We are in search of a skilled Mechanical Engineer to contribute expertise to our Original Equipment (OE) and Aftermarket (AM) divisions. This role emphasizes collaboration with Customers, Sales, Tendering, Operations, and Field Service teams on a global scale. Opportunities exist for involvement with both pump systems and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engineering design and technical support to the business.
  • Evaluate customer specifications and align engineering plans and milestones.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
  • Provide comprehensive Mechanical Engineering support throughout the product lifecycle, from initial design to in-service support.
  • Conduct a variety of Mechanical Engineering Design tasks, including calculations, technical specifications, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Assist in meeting project deadlines while maintaining quality and efficiency.
  • Represent engineering in discussions with other departments, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Support post-design activities, including shop-floor operations, testing, and warranty services.
  • Engage in Field Technical Services, providing assessments and upgrades for rotating equipment.
  • Be prepared for occasional fieldwork, which may require travel.

Required Skills

  • Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering principles and practices.
  • Proficient in technical report writing and familiar with rotating machinery.
  • Competent in using discipline-specific software and capable of influencing software development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and demonstrate flexibility.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, suitable for all organizational levels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in Mechanical Engineering Design with minimal supervision.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • A keen interest in pump technology and related engineering disciplines.
