About This Role

This is a unique opportunity to lead and develop the paediatric and neonatal organ donation and transplantation strategy for NHS Blood and Transplant. You will have the chance to network with both internal and external stakeholders, collaborating to establish best practices in this field.

As a senior nurse and autonomous practitioner, you will be the professional specialist nurse lead for Paediatric and Neonatal Organ Donation and Transplantation across the UK. Your expertise will ensure clinical excellence is maintained within this developing field of practice.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice to all specialist nurses in Organ Donation and Transplantation across the UK, serving as a visible and credible role model.
  • Collaborate with the National Clinical Lead for Paediatrics and other key stakeholders to negotiate and influence change, ensuring appropriate systems, guidance, and processes are in place to deliver high-quality clinical care through established best practices.
  • Contribute to the advancement of paediatric and neonatal organ donation and transplantation by staying abreast of current research, guidelines, and innovations.
