We are seeking a compassionate and supportive individual to join our team as a Group Support Volunteer. As a Group Support Volunteer, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for people affected by dementia.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming and engaging with people affected by dementia, ensuring they feel comfortable and supported.
- Assisting with the setup and facilitation of group activities, promoting socialization and community engagement.
- Providing refreshments and ensuring the overall well-being of group members.
What You'll Gain
As a Group Support Volunteer, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people affected by dementia. You will gain valuable experience in a supportive and inclusive environment, developing your communication and interpersonal skills.
Volunteering Hours
Weymouth Memory Café - 2nd Tuesday of the month, 2pm-3:30pm. Volunteering hours: 1:30-4pm.
